Fine Line

David and I, we wake and sleep; we lie

where sea and sky,

deep to deep, gaze into each other’s eye.

Naked, stretching out full-length,

we drink each other’s peace and strength.

On the fine line of joy,

on the horizon’s rim,

transparent,

mirror to mirror, limb to limb,

where the heavens and the seas

exchange their mysteries,

he lies with me;

I lie with him.
